Job Summary  

In this position you will be supervising a team in providing a pathology service in the determination of various analyses and physiological parameters in biological fluid. 

You will also be providing supervision in regards to general laboratory procedures such as stock control, record keeping as well as dispatch of pathology supplies,. 

Role/ Description

• Be able to confidentially supervise routine analysis of various analytes in accordance to SOP methods. 
• Be able to supervise the preparation of supplies for use at investigator centres in compliance with clinical study protocols and also be able to maintain effective records and stock control 
• Supervise method development as well as supervise the full, validation of assays ad documentation of new equipment and procedures. 
• Liaise with management and supply data and information as required. 
• Be able to authorise all QC results. 
• Ensure that all staff remain compliant with all rules and regulations and work in safe manner at all times. 
• Participate in annual review meetings of personal performance. 

Requirements

• Experience working within a Pathology laboratory environment. 
• Good working knowledge of HPC regulations 
• Coaching and training of junior staff member would be desirable.
