Job Details
On behalf of our client, an expanding pharma company in the Waterford area, I am recruiting for an Instrumentation Specialist. This is an exciting new permanent role available.
The Instrumentation Specialist will provide specialised technical support to the analytical functions to support all on-going Development, QC and Stability functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Equipment Maintenance
- Calibration
- Laboratory Computerised Systems
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing instrument calibrations including balance monthly calibrations, HPLC, UV, FT-IR, Conductivity Meter and Dissolution baths etc.
- Organising and signing off on external PM and calibrations.
- Maintaining equipment calibration and maintenance schedules.
- Performing Instrument and method trouble shooting as required.
- Attending meetings to discuss changes and modifications in laboratory equipment.
- Ensuring that all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards, conforming to company, cGxP, SOPs, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines.
- Identifying and recommending improvements in order to ensure continuous improvement.
- Reporting defects and implementing safety requirements.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a related technical environment preferred
- Experience troubleshooting of Analytical Equipment required
- Experience with operation of HPLC, UV, FT-IR, Dissolution Bath etc.
