As the Patient Engagement Manager:
• Develop, communicate, and execute the Patient Recruitment and Retention Strategy Plans in close collaboration with the Clinical Team and key stakeholders throughout the life cycle of assigned clinical trials
• Support the Clinical Project Manager with the identification, selection, and evaluation of Patient Recruitment companies and their proposals
• Advise and inform the Clinical Project Manager of potential patient organization relationships and engagement opportunities that would enhance study awareness
• Support clinical team in coordinating and executing patient engagement activities by maintaining contact information and relationships with patients and patient organizations that can provide valuable feedback on study design, outreach strategies and general clinical trial participation feedback
• Identify and recommend new vendors or technology to Patient Value Units and operationalize pilot programs to test out new technologies and innovations within the Patient Recruitment and Retention space insuring we are is at the forefront of patient recruitment and engagement methodologies
• Analyse, report, and track recruitment and retention metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI for all patient recruitment and retention activities. Ensure metrics are shared and understood so that they are utilized to inform future patient recruitment strategies.
• Monitor the effectiveness of all strategies defined in the Patient Recruitment and Retention Plans for assigned projects and make adjustments as needed to maximize the return on investment for dollars spent (e.g. online advertising, traditional media spend, outreach and site support efforts, etc.)
• Coordinate community outreach efforts to speak directly to potential subjects and/or referral sources
• Provide input and support with IT development projects for Patient Recruitment & Engagement as well as all SS&E data bases and dashboards
As a member of the SS&E team:
• Collaborate/Communicate on regular basis with SS&E Team, GCPM Clinical Team and other relevant stakeholders, including strategic partners, to ensure integration of activities and identification of areas for improvement
• Support internal SS&E teams and activities, in identification of quality vendors, advocacy groups and applicable patient associations for current and future trials
• Act as internal advisor/partner in all aspects of patient engagement; supporting site selection, patient recruitment and patient retention
• Support efficient and effective communication and information exchange across all stakeholders
• Ensure that all SOPs are adhered to and country regulations and GCP guidelines are followed with respect to education and outreach tactics and patient engagement
