Polymer Synthesis and Process Engineer
We are seeking a polymer synthesis and process engineer to join our Polymers for Development department in our Montpellier (Jacou) facility to participate in our ongoing success as a profitable, fast-growing, socially responsible company dedicated to Global Health.
As a polymer synthesis and process engineer, you will be responsible to implement and validate manufacturing steps and master critical process parameters encountered during the synthesis and purification of polymers.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize and implement polymer manufacturing synthesis and purification processes Implement manufacturing protocols and lead process transfers to industrial partner Assessing and putting under control all critical process parameters Design and implement detailed development and transfer reports in English Prepare DOE and study plans of experiments Ensure process transfers to industrial partner adhere to GMP standards and provide appropriate scale -up support Keep abreast of polymer synthesis, purification and manufacturing techniques Implement and adhere to polymer manufacturing quality standards Perform polymer characterisation with NMR, GPC, DSC, Rheometer and Viscometer Work closely with other team members and perform activities in response to priorities Recommend and provide detailed information for the investment of new process development and scale-up equipment
Experience/Education:
- Minimum of a Master Degree in polymer engineering Minimum of 3 years’ experience (excluding internships) in synthesis, process development and transfer of polymers Experience in the scale-up of polymers up to 10kg Strong knowledge in polymer science and characterization techniques Experience working in an international team or with international clients/partners preferred Ability to communicate and develop high-quality documents in English
