Assistant Management Accountant

Location: London (2 minute walk from London Liverpool Street Station or a 3 minute walk from Moorgate Station)

Salary: £28+ dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

* Overseeing Accounts Payable (low volume), coding and entering purchase invoices, creating supplier payment runs and ensuring strong relationships with suppliers

* Entering and recording payments on Great Plains as and when they go out of from the bank

* Reconciling multi-currency bank accounts weekly and carrying out foreign revaluations on a monthly basis

* Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring all items outstanding at month end are explained in detail

* Accrued Income, Accruals & Prepayments

* Revenue and cost reconciliations to reconcile financials to pay & bill system

* Assisting Finance Manager with other month end reconciliations and reporting

* Assist with cash reporting and forecasting

* Calculating and distributing consultant commissions

* Management of invoice discounting facility and weekly reconciliations

* Assisting with HMRC returns, intermediaries report and VAT returns

* Inter-company review and reconciliation monthly

Experience / skills:

* Excellent attention to detail

* Highly organised, with ability to meet tight deadlines

* Good excel skills (Vlookup, Sumif, Pivot tables etc.)

* Comfortable learning and taking ownership of new systems

* Part-qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or full AAT) with at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate strong transactional experience from earlier career

Desirable / advantageous:

* Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains

* InTime or another pay & bill / timesheet software

* Recruitment sector experience
