We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in the single use Bio technology market. This SME will partner with the end users to maintain and exceed our partnership with our customers. This strategy will enable the continuation of this aggressive growth pattern. This position works closely with the biopharmaceutical manufacturers to aid in the validation and specification of our single-use connection technology into as many of their applications as possible. The ideal candidate will be the technical Subject Matter Expert, in addition to having a strong sales acumen for identifying and developing opportunities. The ideal candidate will work strategically with our bio end user customers, while also being a technical resource for our specialty bio distributors, local integrators and large OEM’s. The candidate will also work with the other European Applications Development Manager as well as the Sales Channel Manager. This remote, home based position reports directly to the Global Sales & Business Development Manager. The main focus of this position will be in Mainland Europe.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop opportunities within multiple bio end user accounts within Europe.
  • Build strong relationships and networking with key end customers, influencers and channel partners.
  • Conduct regular on-site product training and information sessions for our Bio customers (End Users, OEM’s and Distributors).
  • Manage key end user accounts.
  • Develop strategies for penetration, expansion, and adoption of our products in the end user network.
  • Work within a “Pull” strategy where we develop the specifications throughout the end user network where actual sales are pulled directly through our global channel partners.
  • Be a technical resource for our specialty bio distributors, integrators and OEM’s.
  • Be the face of the Bioprocessing Business Unit for CPC in Europe.
  • Fully understand and effectively map the Bio network within Europe, from the channel partner, to the application use at the end user.
  • Provide visibility to where all CPC Bio connectors are being used.
  • Perform VOC to design and own customer experience and discuss customer needs; competitive advantages, and opportunities to position/reposition products to maximize market penetration.
  • Work closely with other global CPC Bio personnel to aid in the management of key global accounts and share validation and application successes.
  • Leverage CRM to manage opportunities, application details and large account management.
  • Actively participate in Bio events and trade shows.


Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Biology or related business, science or engineering degree (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years working knowledge of biopharmaceutical production processes with a focus on single-use technology


Required Job Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills with a focus on Biology, engineering process development and/or plastics.
  • Understanding of the Bioprocess manufacturing process, both upstream and downstream, and how single-use benefits the process.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the end user organizations from the operator all the way to upper management.
  • Professional self-starter who thrives in working in an autonomous environment.
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • A solid sales acumen, with ability to promote “value.”
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer centric mentality.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups and external customers.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Negotiating skills


Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain formal programs for large account management.
  • Experience with multiple channels of distribution; direct sales, exclusive distribution, and multiple distribution channels.
  • Previous employment at a Bioprocessing manufacturer or single-use supplier.
  • Understanding of ISO, GMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Ability to leverage social media
