Our recent successes are driving significant growth. As such, we are looking for a Warehouse Controller within our Warehouse and Supply Chain team.  The purpose of this role is to carry out all necessary activities to support warehouse “end to end” function. From physical receipt of materials through booking in, labelling and movement to picking against shop orders, packing and delivering to production facilities. It also encompasses packing and shipment of product to contractors.
All activities are controlled through Standard Operating Procedures and falls under strict GMP standards.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Receive stock from vendors, ensuring product is:
    • Delivered without damage
    • Stock is delivered to correct address and matches purchase order
    • Stored in appropriate location (noting any special temperature/hazardous storage conditions)
  • Receive stock from vendors, ensuring product is:
  • Ensure stock is located in correct storage areas (Quarantine; Release; Reject)
  • Updating of computer system where applicable to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure accuracy of stock is maintained – by performing cycle counting/stock checks
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety and security of warehouse is maintained at all times
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to reflect current practices
  • Raise appropriate documentation
    • Supplier complaint Form
    • Q.I
    • Change controls
  • Pick stock by item, batch number and quantity as requisition
  • Check and pack stock by item, batch number and quantity as requisition
  • Drive company vehicle to deliver requisitions to production and OXB sites
  • Co-ordinate shipments of Drug Substance (other) for ongoing processing
  • Co-ordinate clinical waste pick ups from sites
  • Raise purchase requisitions where appropriate
  • Any other duties as identified by the Warehouse Supervisor

Person Specification (key skills and requirements)

  • Previous warehouse experience essential ideally within a similar or regulated environment.
  • High degree of accuracy, numeracy and literacy
  • Manual handling Training & Awareness
  • Computer literatacy Skills within MS Outlook, Word, Excel & ideally ERP systems.
  • FLT License - Reach and Counterbalance preferred
  • Experienced in operating mechanical lifting equipment
  • Exposure to working within key performance indicators (working with metrics)
