Our client's class-leading platform enables precise and large-scale identification of gut bacteria associated with health or disease, enabling the design of novel medicines and biomarkers based on live bacteria. In just two years, the company has established itself as an industry leader, having won four awards and recently signed a $534m strategic multi-year deal with a major US Biotech to discover novel biomarkers, targets and medicines in inflammatory bowel disease. The company has a pipeline of live bacterial products for C. difficile, ulcerative colitis and cancer which will be progressed to the clinic.
To support these activities our client is seeking a Research Scientist with expertise in Microbial Fermentation Process development to work in the Preclinical Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to be involved at the early stages of this novel area of pharmaceutical medicine.
