Senior Toxicologist - Biological Development

I am currently partnering with one of the most exciting Biological groups in the industry at present as they continue to pursue their unprecedented development direction across a variety of therapeutic areas. Key for their continued success is to ensure they identify the very best talent within the industry and we are now supporting the growth of their Toxicology group in a key office based in Germany.


  • Strategic development of Toxicology strategies across a range of projects and R&D areas
  • Acting Toxicological expert across R&D activities in multiple therapeutic areas  
  • Manage, lead and coordinate internal and external Toxicology studies within global teams both directly and remotely
  • Act as a Preclinical Project lead for designated R&D projects
  • Support Regulatory submissions globally
  • Manage Toxicology programs from Clinical to Market authorization (also earlier program management)
  • Collaborate with external CRO groups on the planning, monitoring and reporting of preclinical Pharmacology and Toxicology studies
  • Prepare and manage Toxicological Risk Assessments
  • Cross Functional collaboration within a virtual environment when needed (Development groups based globally)
  • Prepare and review Non-Clinical documents for RA submissions
  • Oversee global groups and assigned budgets
  • Support preclinical evaluation of external assets and in-licensing opportunities
  • Support improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and the effectiveness of the development programs and procedures
  • Ensure Scientific knowledge is kept up to date for all relevant developments within the industry

Skills required

  • Further education needed to a PhD or MD/DVM level in a Life-Sciences discipline
  • Must have a demonstrated background in Biological Development within non-clinical Toxicology
  • Ideally skilled in multiple therapeutic areas all within Biologics
  • Thorough experience of the drug development process
  • Ideally skilled in Project leadership
  • Can work well both individually and as part of a global team
  • Excellent knowledge of Regulatory guidelines within the industry
  • Fluency in English and ideally have a basic grasp of German (German is not essential)
  • Can work office based in Central Germany close to Frankfurt (relocation support is provided)
