Title: Senior Medical Writer

Salary: Competitive

Location: Homebased/Anywhere in the UK

My client, a fantastic healthcare communications agency based in Central London, is on the lookout for a Senior Medical Writer to join them on a permanent basis.

They are very well-renowned in the world of medical education and are very unusually offering **remote working** for this post (after an initial induction period of 2 weeks in the office), and are open to writers based anywhere in the UK.

They are essentially looking to grow their scientific content development team after a string of successes and their aim is to strengthen the way they fuse the scientific and strategic insight they provide their clients across their entire portfolio.

They are looking for an individual who will be happy leading a small team (1 or 2 writers), and providing strategic input where necessary. As this is a predominantly remote-based role, they are looking for someone who is going to be happy communicating via video conferences on a regular basis.

You will be working across a range of outputs which will include:

  • Internal training slide decks
  • Speaker decks for HCP training sessions, symposia, stand-alone meetings or advisory boards
  • Congress posters
  • Scientific and lay audience website content

Requirements for the role:

  • 3+ years’ (SMW) in medical writing
  • Strong science or medical background, with an advanced degree (PhD desirable)
  • Medical communications agency experience (desirable but will also consider in-house positions)

**My client are also offering to potentially waive the writing test requirement if you able to provide a strong portfolio of previous work examples**

You will be working across a range of therapeutic areas such as HIV, gene therapy, dermatology, respiratory, drug addiction and neurology.
