Job Purpose:

As the Change & Communications Specialist, you are part of the Global Procurement organization and will report directly to the Change & Communications Manager. You will implement and support change and communications programs in support of Strategic Project Delivery team transformational projects to realize critical deliverables for the Global Procurement organization.

Global Procurement is a key function that delivers value to Roche by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of Roche's third party spend. Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal business partners, Global Procurement helps bring innovative tests and medicines to patients.

The Change & Communication Specialist supports the Global Procurement strategy through contribution to the development and implementation of comprehensive change and communications plans, methodologies and materials to support transformational projects. In day to day operations moderate time and effort is required to manage and influence a small number of cross-divisional global, regional and local procurement stakeholders. The Change & Communication Specialist works with a select range of functional stakeholders.

1. Core accountabilities
  • Implement key communication initiatives that support transformational projects. Prepare key messages and relevant support that is required for thorough engagement of impacted organizations. Provide recommendations to address behavioral change and ensure realization of project scope and objectives. Assist with facilitation of meetings, workshops and other events where communication and change management are required. Engage and coordinate with training managers. Provide support and experience to draft, review and amend PowerPoint presentations to make them impactful with a professional look and feel
  • Work closely Head of Strategy & Performance, Strategic Project Delivery Lead, team members and stakeholders to ensure delivery and messaging of projects and initiatives in alignment with Global Procurement strategy. Prepare required change and communication inputs to Project Lead to measure change progress in transformation project(s)
  • Measure change metrics and KPI's for assigned projects. Monitor communication standards and template adoption. Manage and report on change and communication status to Project Lead
  • Contribute to Capability Team risk mitigation by collaborating on ongoing monitoring and mitigation of risks relating to the change and communications in assigned projects
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging internal and external networks and exchange with relevant experts.
  • Facilitate organizational change impact analysis. Work with team members to integrate change management and communication activities into the overall project plan to secure effective and lasting adoption. Build strong collaborative networks with key stakeholders and ensure communication is concise, consistent and compelling
  • Provide Change and Communication updates to core project team and provide required inputs to relevant Business Support Managers for updates to wider community

  • Ensure capability specific material and information is up to date and communicated to Procurement and business partners. In alignment with the Capability Building function, provide content input and delivery support for process specific training to global and local stakeholders.

Your Qualifications:
  • Relevant Bachelor degree
  • 5+ years Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Project and/or Process management
  • 3+ years Change & Communications experience
  • Understanding of communication theories and practical approaches
  • Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills
  • Excellent analytical and soft skills
  • Ability to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment
  • Ability to quickly understand new topics and adapt to new situations
  • Demonstrated skill in crafting presentations and written communication content
  • Business level fluency in English
  • Life Sciences industry or management consulting experience is desired
  • Native English Speaker Preferred
  • Change Management or Communications certification is desired
  • Broad project-based experience delivering Change & Comms strategies is desired
