Commercial Analyst

Role Purpose:

Under general guidance, prepares written bids, proposals and budget estimates in response to Requests for Proposals, for submission to clients.  Makes modifications to existing proposals and contracts and tracks revisions.
Primary responsibilities include:

•    Coordinates the timely collection of data for proposal and budget development in response to Requests for Proposal..
•    Prepares accurate bids and proposals that conform to PPD contract requirements and meet clients’ needs..  
•    Gathers and analyzes data for proposals and contract modifications and tracks revisions on a timely basis.
•    Participates in client meetings and teleconferences.
•    Ensures accurate information is entered into the proposal and contract tracking database so that timely and accurate reports can be generated.


 Education and Experience:

•    Bachelor's Degree in Business-related area and
•    Minimum of 1 year experience in bid preparation and/or the development and fulfillment of contracts requirements with demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility;
•    Or minimum of 2 years providing technical/administrative clinical trial project support with demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility;
•    Or equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (minimally Word and Excel).
•    General knowledge of contractual documents.
•    High quality oral and written communication skills.
•    Ability to handle multiple deliverables with firm deadlines and multiple competing priorities.
•    Ability to coordinate information and follow-up with various sources in order to meet  clients' requirements for proposal and budget development.
•    Detail oriented.
•    Strong analytical and numerical skills.
