An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global pharmaceutical company to provide high quality medical input into the business franchise within their extensive Oncology portfolio. This Medical Manager for Medical Oncology, reports to the Head of Medical Affairs.
The successful individual will be getting straight into preparation for their planned launch in 2019 with a number of indications / readouts coming out in early 2019 as well as working on their already recently launched established products.
GMC registered physician or UK registered pharmacist
Previous Medical Affairs experience
Experience in implementation and execution of medical strategy and plan
Expertise on the creation and development of activities and materials (promotional and non-promotional)
Be an ABPI final medical signatory or ability to become a signatory
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Prior Oncology experience preferred but not essential
To support Head of Medical for Oncology and work closely to define the medical strategy, plans and implementation of plans
Close working with commercial and market access departments as well as regional and global colleagues
Build long term strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders within the relevant field
Key Elements of the role:
As a member of the medical department you will provide therapeutic area Medical Affairs support for the Oncology portfolio and will have responsibility for providing high quality medical/scientific expertise and strategic insight into the relevant therapeutic disease areas.
The position is a key strategic role responsible for the creation and implementation of the therapy area medical strategy and plan and its execution. The role involves working in a strategic matrix for the franchise.
Your contribution to cross-functional therapy area teams will help shape the overall strategic direction for the franchise. You will directly provide expertise on the creation and development of activities and materials (promotional and non-promotional) and will provide ABPI/IPHA/ABHI Code of Practice review/certification whilst also ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines and company SOPs.
