We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAS Programmer to be based in our London office:

This role will offer you the opportunity to work on a variety of large patient-level datasets owned or accessible to IQVIA, working within a large and diverse team that includes leading experts in this fast-growing, high-interest field.   The role will be focused on the management of IQVIA’s data assets and generating valuable insights from the application of Real-World Data to solving healthcare-related problems for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. The purpose of this role is to execute on a broad set of interesting analytical and statistical questions that are related to the value of medicines and other interventions and measuring their impact on patient outcomes, which will need to be answered using SAS or R software.    

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Extract, explore, clean, prepare, analyse and report real-world data according to statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
  • Develop programming specifications and output documents
  • data management, and analytical and statistical design to meet study objectives
  • Implement quality control procedures
  • Produce and present results of data and statistical analysis
  • Contribute to improving operational efficiencies of workflows, including writing of internal guidance documents e.g., SOPs and quality management documents
  • Assist in the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and/or presentations to conferences

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor level degree in Computer Science/ Statistics of related subject
  • Strong/expert SAS programming or R skills
  • Proven experience working with large, complex, real-world data sets
  • Excellent time management skills, contributing to multiple projects with competing timelines
  • Commitment to working collaboratively and effectively with people of other disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
