Senior Statistician (R&D + Clinical) – UK

AL Solutions are searching for a Senior Statistician to work within the Research & Development (R&D) department that covers everything from Pre-Clinical through to Post-Marketing. Our client is looking for someone to be predominantly office based in the South of the UK.

This is an opportunity to be involved in both Clinical & Pre-Clinical aspects in competitive market that is constantly changing and adapting to keep up with new technology and market trends. You will be at the heart of innovation and able to see, 1^st hand, the new products being developed and designed.

Our client offers a generous Salary Package (£100k +) which includes:

• £60k-  £80k basic salary – Depending on experience
• Average of 40% annual bonus
• Company car OR £600£700 per month car allowance

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing best practices for experimental design & statistical analysis (across R&D)
• Contributing to protocols and study plans
• Producing & delivering statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
• Liaise and oversee CROs/External Vendors for SAP, listings & tables’ shells development and review of deliverables
• Guide Statistical Programmers and analyse data as per SAP
• Contribute to strategy to develop dossiers for regulatory submissions
• Lead Junior statisticians
• Contribute to the planning of budgets and manage expenditure – monitoring output from vendors
• Providing training & development for staff
• Participating in key stakeholder working groups
• Author and deliver R&D reports/presentations
• Contribute to external publications & collaborations

The requirements for this position are:

• Strong expertise in Statistics within an R&D setting
• Knowledge of ICH and FDA guidelines
• Strong SAS skills
• Strong CDISC Knowledge (SDTM/ADaM)
• Understanding of data life cycle for data from product development to registration of regulated products
• Leadership skills & communication skills
• Experience across a broad spectrum (preclinical & clinical)
