Reporting to the Accounting Manage, the Accounting Technician is responsible for maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts. In this role, you will be accountable for the timely preparation of journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting within a busy finance team.


  • Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CPA or IATA qualified with minimum 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of working in a finance team in multinational environment
  • Solid understanding of US Gaap and financial statements
  • SOX experience necessary
  • Proven experience working to deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Intercompany experience preferable
  • QAD/MFG Pro experience desirable


Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
  • Prepare & Post Journal entries including preparation of monthly and quarterly accruals and prepayments schedules for group reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Weekly/Monthly Sales and Margin analysis including variance to budget/forecast
  • Prepare finance documentation in support of external and internal audits in line with Sarbanes Oxley key control testing documents
  • Assist in preparation of Project Accounting including adherence to US Gaap and IFRS accounting rules, example Revenue recognition/lease accounting/Intangible considerations
  • Perform and present analysis and explanation on Actual vs Budget for PL
    • Correct allocation of costs to PL, Balance sheet accruals and prepayment
    • Investigation of inconsistencies/variances on accounts
    • Ensuring Budget owners are on track with spends, no overspends
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
  • Monthly and quarterly balance sheet and P/L analysis for management reporting
  • Preparation of month end Statistics and balance sheet reviews for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Review monthly & quarterly financials to ensure adherence with SOP and SOX procedures
  • Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies
