Microbiology Laboratory Manager

In this role, you will proactively drive delivery of the company goals and initiatives. The Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the Laboratory operates in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and company quality, safety, customer service and cost standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the daily supervisor and performance of the Microbiology Laboratory
• Raw material, water, environmental and finished product testing, review and certification

• Maintaining procedures, specifications and valid testing directions

• Providing microbiological expert support for process validation, process change control, deviation assessment and internal and external audit participation

Desired experience and qualifications:

• A third-level degree qualification in Microbiology
• PhD in industrial or clinical Microbiology would be a distinct advantage
• Experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry in a Microbiology Laboratory setting
• Previous experience within a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor position in industry
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
• Good knowledge of GMP, laboratory systems and controls including qualification/validation
• A “ can do” attitude and genuine enthusiasm for driving improvements 
• A positive mindset of Safety First
