Senior Medicinal Chemist

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Medicinal or Organic Chemistry and worked as a Medicinal Chemist within a Pharmaceutical setting for five years.

The candidate should have a proven track record in design and synthesis of biologically active molecules.

In addition the candidate should have a good understanding of NMR, HPLC and MS techniques and a thorough knowledge related IT and IS systems related to the role.

Responsibilities of the role include the design of NCEs, planning and executing complex synthetic routes for the synthesis of NCEs, selecting Hits and Leads for the LOP, contribution of new proposals and work with Pharmacology to execute programmes.

This is a strong team focused environment with cross functional projects and communication. Strong leadership skills would be an advantage.
