As a Vendor Contracts Manager you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.

What you will be doing:

  • Support outsourcing and contracting needs of global clinical development programs
  • Lead the vendor outsourcing, including Request for Proposal and analysis of bid responses, at the clinical study level
  • Generation, negotiation and execution of clinical trial vendor contracts required to meet study
  • timeline deliverables and ICH GCP compliance requirements
  • Act as the primary contact with vendors for negotiation of the scope of work, study assumptions and budget
  • Ensure that the contract terms and budget meet Biogen's SOPs, department processes, and financial/legal requirements while working within the boundaries of the vendor specific master agreements
  • Has a clear understanding of customer's needs and uses this knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that provide clear benefits to the customer
  • Provide financial analyses support for various vendors to meet or exceed the cost reductions within the Procurement department
  • Has a thorough understanding of the industry and trends and continually provides solutions based on this experience
  • Assist with onboarding of new CSP Team Members
  • Well versed in the Lifecycle management of clinical vendors and anticipate impact of any vendor addition or changes
  • Provide mitigating risk initiatives to ensure seamless vendor delivery and support
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


You are:
  • Strong contracting experience in either CRO (preferred) or pharma/biotech industry -
  • Strong excel expertise with understanding of FMV analysis
  • Ability to handle multiple high priorities and interact/negotiate on behalf of customer with vendors
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, especially within clinical research and procurement contexts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiation and conflict resolution, as well as proven ability to effectively manage change
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with effective time management
