Key Account Manager - Gastroenterology & Urology - East of Scotland
Our client's product portfolio demonstrates an exceptionally innovative and successful track record in the fields of Urology, Endocrine Oncology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology (Growth) and Reproductive Health (Infertility and Obstetrics).
The common thread is that the Company remains focused on producing treatments that enable doctors to treat patients on the body's own terms.
The role will require exceptional territory management and business planning abilities to ensure that the full portfolio of products is promoted to maximum effect.
The KAM is responsible for project managing and co-ordinating the resources at his/her disposal to communicate the benefits of their portfolio of products to the necessary stakeholders.
A successful key account approach is necessary to achieve objectives including sales targets.
The ability to generate partnership relations and be regarded as a peer by key customers as well as a comprehensive understanding of the evolving NHS environment is also essential.
Key target customers will include:
- Healthcare professionals in both Primary and Secondary care
- Pharmacists and subspecialties in both Primary and Secondary care sectors with an ability to impact on their business
- Payors in Hospital and CCG's
- Customer professional bodies pertinent to the business
- Procurement managers
- NHS Business managers
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous/current Key Account Management experience from within the UK Pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of the NHS landscape and how it affects local delivery of healthcare
- Excellent selling, negotiation and networking skills
- Advanced influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and high levels of curiosity
- Ability to demonstrate strong product and clinical knowledge
