Production Technician

Proclinical is seeking a Production Technician to join a dedicated team. This role involves supporting the Production Team in producing Eimeria bulk antigens from SPF derived birds, in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in animal husbandry and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform production and animal husbandry duties as per the planned Primary Production schedules.
• Clean equipment and facilities, including the use of power washers.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Operational Instructions (POI) within the Production Unit.
• Maintain safe working practices within the Production Units.
• Ensure that equipment and facilities are maintained to an acceptable standard and report deficiencies to Engineering.
• Ensure positive, timely, and effective communication with team members and internal customers.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with animals.
• Good record keeping and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Must have own transport.
• Please note: Due to the nature of the work, applicants must not keep chickens or live on a premises where chickens or game birds or fowl are kept.
