Job Title: Principal Investigator/Senior Scientist
Location: Midwest
Full-time
We are working with a bioanalytical laboratory supporting drug candidates from discovery through clinical trials, providing GLP and Non-GLP LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS quantitation and PK/TK analytical services. We are seeking a seasoned Principal Investigator/Senior Scientist to lead and manage bioanalytical projects with a focus on mass spectrometry and LC-MS/MS methodologies.
Role Summary:
The Principal Investigator/Senior Scientist will oversee method development, validation, sample analysis, and project documentation to support drug development studies, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Report project timelines, data, and results to management and clients
- Manage projects to ensure timely completion
- Provide expertise in method development and validation
- Serve as a resource for laboratory operations
- Maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS equipment
- Collaborate with QA to ensure regulatory compliance
- Prepare technical laboratory procedures and documents
- Occasionally travel for professional development and client meetings
- May supervise laboratory personnel
- Perform QC review of data
- Participate in research projects for publications and presentations
- Represent the company in webinars, seminars, and professional meetings
- Provide technical training to employees
- Assist laboratory management as needed
Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in chemistry or related field with 2+ years of experience in a bioanalytical CRO, or B.S. in chemistry or related field with 4+ years of experience in a bioanalytical CRO
- 2+ years in a regulated bioanalytical mass spectrometry laboratory
- 1-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
