Senior Director of Translational Science

Overview:

As the Senior Director of Translational Science, we are seeking an accomplished leader with a robust background in translating scientific discoveries into tangible therapeutic applications. This pivotal role requires an individual with a proven track record of driving cell therapy programs through IND-enabling stages. Reporting directly to the Chief Scientific Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and be instrumental in shaping the future of cell therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translational Science Leadership:

• Spearhead the translational science strategy, focusing on advancing oncology cell therapy programs.
• Leverage direct experience in navigating regulatory requirements, particularly in the preparation and submission of INDs.

2. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Forge close collaborations with preclinical and clinical development teams to seamlessly integrate translational science efforts from research to clinical stages.
• Ensure alignment of translational studies with IND requirements and milestones, facilitating the successful transition to clinical trials.

3. Biomarker Discovery and Development:

• Drive the identification and validation of predictive biomarkers critical for IND submissions and patient stratification.
• Leverage firsthand experience in developing biomarker strategies that directly contribute to successful IND applications.

4. Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Utilize advanced computational methods for the analysis and interpretation of translational science data, emphasizing the direct impact on regulatory submissions and decision-making.
• Apply direct experience in integrating translational science data with clinical outcomes to inform IND-enabling studies.

5. Regulatory Interaction:

• Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, with a focus on INDs, showcasing a track record of successful interactions with regulatory agencies.
• Represent the company in regulatory meetings, providing expert insights into translational science strategies and data interpretation to support IND submissions.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

• Foster a culture of scientific excellence within the translational science team, emphasizing the importance of direct experience in IND-enabling studies.
• Implement professional development programs that enhance team members' expertise in translational science and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in translational science directly contributing to successful IND submissions.
• Proven success in advancing oncology cell therapy programs from preclinical stages to successful IND applications.
• Expertise in flow cytometry, NGS, CRISPR/Cas9, IHC and other relevant techniques, with a focus on their application in regulatory contexts.
• Strong track record of successful interactions with regulatory agencies during IND submissions.
