Job Opportunity: Automation Engineer - Electrical Design & PLC Machine Control Programmer

Location: Deinze, Belgium

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Up to 30% International Travel

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Electrical Design & Programming: Develop and program PLC machine controls for new Sputter Hardware machines.
  • Planning & Diagrams: Create detailed planning and installation diagrams for machine automation.
  • Final Inspection: Conduct functional electrical inspections before shipment.
  • Upgrades & Service: Assist with machine upgrades and service interventions at customer sites.
  • Component Selection: Collaborate with suppliers and the purchasing department to determine electrical components.


Education: Master's degree in electromechanics or a similar field with a strong affinity for automation/electricity.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in PLC machine control and programming (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SCADA/HMI for process visualization.
  • Experience with EPLAN and servo-motion technology.
  • Capable of designing electrical control cabinets.


  • Strong technical insight and hands-on personality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously while maintaining team spirit.
  • Initiative-driven with a customer-oriented attitude.

Languages: Proficient in Dutch and English (written and oral).

Experience: Minimum 4 years of automation experience.
