Job Details

The Production Maintenance Supervisor oversees the operations of the process area maintenance functions at the IOPS Ireland Manufacturing Plant.

A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Supervising a group of employees or outside contractors/vendors to maintain equipment in validated state to support the production schedule
  • Scheduling, tracking, facilitating and ensuring efficient and effective use of maintenance resources to perform preventive and break down maintenance
  • Ensuring that there are no breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes
  • Conducting regular inspection and maintenance of all the equipment in manufacturing
  • Leading a team of technicians, assigning work, reviewing and approving work, and ensuring documentation is correct for all work
  • Planning maintenance and service activities in a way that the process of production does not get hampered
  • Ensuring that the machinery and equipment are being used to full capacity and that production is optimum
  • Keeping a record of all service, maintenance and refurbishing works carried out on the machinery
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance repairs/modifications of facility and process equipment
  • Following current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)
  • Troubleshooting process equipment problems and making required changes
  • Supporting equipment investigations to drive reliability and performance
  • Ensuring all areas of responsibility are compliance with GMP regulations
  • Promoting and ensuring safe working environment
  • Coaching and developing direct reports
  • Working closely with Operations, Systems Support, and Quality functions to ensure Regulatory Compliance (FDA, DEA, OSHA, NFPA) and prompt customer service
  • Creating, updating and monitoring reports on departmental objectives and activities
  • Developing and maintaining team skills/knowledge in safety, quality, shared values and technology to support department objectives
  • Analyzing and providing written reports of maintenance trends
  • Providing timely verbal and written communications with team and customers
  • SLA negotiations with relevant vendors to deliver value
  • Identifying, proposing and promoting opportunities to reduce cost while improving quality

To be considered for this opportunity you should hold a BS/BEng Engineering or related field desirable or be Qualified to National Craft Standard. Preferably with 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry. Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment preferred.
