Job Summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a talented and experienced Data Experience Designer to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate should first be an experienced UX Product Designer with a background in designing and creating compelling data visualizations and a portfolio to showcase similar work. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, product managers, and developers, to create meaningful data-driven insights.
Product Designers are responsible for a set of activities, including conducting initial user research, driving a solution vision based on business and user insights, designing desirable and intuitive multi-channel experiences, developing wireframes and visual designs, and iteratively validating solutions with users.
Responsibilities
• Foster user-centered designs.
• Conduct user research for persona and journey mapping.
• Create consistent digital experiences across platforms within brand standards.
• Develop product concepts, storyboards, interaction designs, and prototypes.
• Validate designs through usability testing.
• Collaborate in Agile teams for design implementation.
• Monitor UX metrics and report on improvements.
• Recommend efficiency-enhancing techniques and practices.
• Design clear data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
• Collaborate with data analysts and product managers on data requirements.
• Design interactive and accessible user-friendly data visualizations.
• Keep updated with data visualization trends.
• Work with developers on visualization performance.
• Work with scalable design systems.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Very strong UX designing experience with Figma is required.
• This is a fully remote role with occasional travel needs per business requirements.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing and creating data visualizations for various audiences.
• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, D3.js, or PowerBI.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer/Graphic Design, MIS, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Skills:
UX Design, Data Visual Design, Figma, Agile Methodologies, Microsoft BI, Tableau, D3.js, PowerBI

  Here in Scotland, based at our site in Tranent, East Lothian, we offer a complete array of Safety Assessment services from complete IND-enabling programs to stand-alone preclinical studies, our preclinical CRO services provide a full range of in vivo and in vitro testing evaluations and regulatory support for the safety assessment of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and animal health products as well as chemicalsagrochemicals, and biocides. Our scientific and regulatory staff develop and execute individual preclinical studies or customized programs to ensure that drug efficacy and safety assessments are conducted in the most efficient manner.
