Quality Control Microbiologist

I am currently looking for a Quality Control Microbiologist to work for a Medical Device company based in Dublin. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the following: Work within the QC Microbiology laboratory to ensure consistent delivery to customers

Perform key tasks: Environmental Monitoring, Water Sampling, Water Testing, Bioburden Testing, Endotoxin Testing, Compendia) Verifications, Validations, Growth Promotion testing of media and diluents, In-process testing. Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the QC Microbiology laboratory to ensure consistent delivery to customers

• Perform testing and ensure that the testing schedule is adhered to, and the results reported

in a timely manner, escalation of any issues/OOS/OOT

• Provide Technical expertise for all aspects of testing and investigations

• Oversight of contract testing laboratories associated with Microbiological Testing—

shipping, reconciliation, and trending of test results

• Ensure the team is compliant to GxP, safety and environmental standards


• Minimum BSc in Microbiology or similar/equivalent

• Advanced degree preferred

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Microbiology role

• Experience of aseptic technique, environmental monitoring, clean

utilities testing, microbial ID preparation, plate reading, bioburden,

endotoxin, verifications, validations, growth promotion and inprocess

testing preferable.

• Sterile manufacturing and/or biotech experience is preferable.

• Experience gowning in graded areas i.e., Grade C and D.

• Experience performing testing on Milliflex plus pump and endotoxin

MCS system preferable but not required.

• Writing and executing protocols and reports for Water,

Environmental Monitoring and Product testing.
