About This Job:


As an Associate Director, you will be part of a regional Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) function, collaborating with the German Affiliate. You will directly report to the Regional Senior HEOR Director based in the UK, while also maintaining a connection with the local Medical Affairs Director.


With a robust pipeline and upcoming product launches, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams at both the regional and local levels, including Medical and Market Access. Your role will involve ensuring the satisfaction of local market requirements and alignment with the regional HEOR strategy.


As a qualified Health Economist, you will have the opportunity to join a skilled and compact HEOR team, contributing to the successful reimbursement of our products within the local context.


This position necessitates experience in HTA/AMNOG, a solid understanding of pre-launch activities, and the ability to foster effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders.


Key activities are noted below:


  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the HEOR strategy for new products in Germany Support the achievement of regional HEOR objectives through activities such as generating, synthesizing, disseminating, communicating, and refining HEOR evidence Apply specialized knowledge of HTA requirements to design appropriate HEOR and value strategies Identify, develop, and oversee HEOR initiatives, including providing HTA advice and submissions, conducting data gap analyses, developing RWE study protocols, performing post-hoc analyses, conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, organizing advisory boards, and adapting Value Dossiers Monitor changes in the local healthcare and economic landscape closely to assess potential impacts on the business, patients, and healthcare commissioners Represent the organization at external HEOR conferences and meetings

Essential Knowledge & Experience:


  • Demonstrated experience in Health Economics and Outcome Research or Market Access, particularly within reimbursement and HTA submissions Manage, maintain, and facilitate relationships with all external experts supporting the team in dossier preparation and development, and challenges during IQWiG assessments. Also providing support during relevant GBA hearings Demonstrable knowledge and experience of GBA (including participation in oral hearings), AMNOG, IQWiG, and Market Access. Ability to co-lead pre-submission advice activities and handling responses to inquiries or objections Proficient in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Utilize outcomes data effectively, collaborate on the creation of German Value Dossiers, and lead early HTA Scientific Advice meetings in partnership with AMNOG



  • MSc in Health Economics or qualified Pharmacist/MD
  • Fluent in English and German with solid written and verbal communication skills
