Job Details

Process Sciences is a technical services department that deals with a range of scientific, technical, engineering and mathematical needs from the laboratory to the manufacturing floor. Process Sciences is made of six main functional teams namely: (1) Upstream Sciences (2) Downstream Sciences (3) Analytical Technologies Group (4) Data Analytics and Modelling (5) Manufacturing Support & Process Validation and (6) Project Management and Operations.

This is a shift position, including day and night shift.

As a Process Sciences Associate, a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate lab activities between day and shift teams ensuring clear communication and understanding of tasks
  • Act as point of escalation for shift team to resolve any issues as they arise
  • Responsible for shift handover communication and timely escalation of issues to day team management where required
  • Ensure compliance and GDP standards are maintained within the shift team
  • Act as initiator and owner of NOE records as the arise
  • Contribute to knowledge-based reports summarising conclusion of studies, investigations, and process improvements
  • Perform small scale mammalian cell culture and purification studies at the 2L scale to assess process quality and performance
  • Produce and maintain accurate records in accordance with site procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain lab supplies and equipment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a BSc/MSc Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field with 2 years’ experience will be considered
