Territory Manager to represent an Australian distributor specialising in the sale of genomic products into the research and clinical space across NZ.
About the Company
Our client has been in the Life Science and Clinical Diagnostic market in ANZ for over 40 years, distributing high-quality and innovative products. They provide end-to-end solutions and support the whole workflow for genomics research including next-generation sequencing (NGS).

About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager based in Melbourne Australia, the Territory Manager needs to build relationships with key opinion leaders and nurture large opportunities through a pipeline to deliver on revenue expectations.

The product portfolio includes workflow solutions for NGS and PCR/qPCR. In addition, reagents and instrumentation for single-cell analysis, epigenetics, nucleic acid purification and sample QC are sold and supported to a diverse range of customers from Research Organisations, Hospitals, Core facilities and Diagnostic laboratories.

  • Drive business development to optimize market share, and gain market awareness and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively make outbound calls, schedule customer visits and nurture leads from marketing through to opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in conjunction with the product specialists and management to sustain and develop new business

About You
This role is open to both - seasoned Sales Professionals and experienced Scientists in the genomics discipline looking to make their first foray into the commercial space as a Sales Professional.

  • Academic qualifications in a relevant science discipline
  • Sales experience representing a genomics portfolio OR strong research background in genomics
  • High proficiency in NGS application
  • Strong interpersonal skills and polished oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to travel throughout New Zealand is essential, and the requirement to attend training sessions and company meetings in Australia
