Job Title: Public Affairs Project Manager

Location: Amsterdam, NL

Contract: 6M + extensions

Hours: 28 hours per week

Salary: 74 EUR p/h

Our client wants to drive advocacy and community engagement in research, policy and healthcare for patient communities, particularly in Virology and Oncology. To be successful in this ambition, our projects play a vital role. These projects range from rolling out disease awareness campaigns to organizing stakeholder meetings, from research projects to creating inspiring content. In many cases we do this in co-creation with our key stakeholders.

What are your responsibilities?

  • The objective of this position is to successfully deliver projects that drive advocacy and community engagement in the field of Virology and Oncology.
  • Your responsibilities are developing, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects within time and budget. You will work closely with colleagues from the commercial and medical teams as well as governmental affairs.
  • You will manage relationships with key stakeholders such as patient organizations and other interest groups on a project-based level.
  • Daily responsibilities entail elements such as monitoring of project progress, proactively solve issues that may rise, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, internal alignment, evaluate performance and managing the working relations with a communication agency.
  • Next to you, team Public Affairs is an Associate Director Public Affairs who is part of the Dutch leadership team and will serve as your line manager. The main aim of the team is to increase our external impact by interacting with key stakeholders in the right way. Next to the activities described in this vacancy the aim of the team is corporate positioning
  • through media, participating in public debates and interacting with key stakeholders (such as trade organizations, interest groups and other companies).

What are your qualifications?

  • An advanced degree is desirable, with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
  • You are fluent in conversational and written Dutch and English.
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required.
  • You have excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing are required.
  • You are a result-oriented self-starter with proven project management skills.
  • Performance management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution are competences you have developed.
  • You are capable to quickly understand the therapeutic areas of Virology and Oncology as well as the broader story.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity. You can quickly establish solid working relationships, both externally and internally.
