R&D Manager - MedTech Start Up

My client is a medical device start-up committed to creating innovative technologies for real-world clinical applications. As a pioneering company in the field of cancer therapies, the technology aims to customise treatments for different tumor areas and locations into the spine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development and production of the hardware systems;
• Collaborate in the development and production of devices and their accessories;
• Co-ordinate the activities required for prototyping;
• Support design verification and validation activities;
• Define research and development objectives, setting priorities and managing resources;
• Monitoring project progress and preparing related reports;
• Defining and designing technical documentation;
• Oversee the project and define related strategies;
• Training new employees.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related biomedical disciplines;
• 5+ years of experience in medical device development;
• Familiarity with medical device industry standards;
• Ability to work in a highly regulated environment;
• Knowledge of the English language;
• Basic knowledge of medical device regulations;
• Knowledge of software dedicated to the analysis of surgical imaging is an asset;
• Must be comfortable making key decisions, be flexible and adapt to a rapidly changing and growing environment.
