Contract Manufacturing (CMO) Consultant - 100% REMOTE

We are seeking a highly experienced and adaptable Contract Manufacturing (CMO) Consultant to support a client in developing and implementing an effective CMO maturity model. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance, training, and expertise to our client's employees, ensuring their proficiency in utilizing the model. Additionally, you will assess the current operating model and establish an optimized and scalable framework for quality and technical oversight of CMOs, aligned with industry best practices such as Lean, Agile, and value-added approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Support the creation and implementation of a CMO maturity model, and train client employees on its utilization.
• Assess the current operating model and recommend an optimized, scalable framework for quality and technical oversight of CMOs, incorporating industry best practices.
• Develop a resource deployment model aimed at maximizing productivity with existing staff, outlining criteria for resource allocation to support CMOs effectively.
• Conduct industry benchmarking activities and analyze data to identify differences between our client and other companies in similar domains.
• Organize and facilitate collaborative working sessions with clients, including prework, workshops, and outcome reporting to document the process.
• Challenge clients in a non-confrontational yet influential manner, demonstrating extensive experience and expertise in the field.
• Generate and present data using industry benchmarking tools and Excel-based models, showcasing insights and recommendations.
• Possess a strong understanding of value stream mapping and the challenges associated with CMO oversight.
• Establish mechanisms for tracking and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to CMOs.
• Manage relationships with CMOs, ensuring compliance with agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement new processes and models, managing knowledge transfer and training to enhance CMO maturity and capability.
• Develop flexible resource deployment models based on risk, compliance, maturity, and available resources.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the field, demonstrating a deep understanding of CMO operations and oversight.
• Ability to challenge clients in a constructive and influential manner, while maintaining strong relationships.
• Adaptability and flexibility to effectively manage diverse client needs and project requirements.
• Excellent presentation and data analysis skills, utilizing industry benchmarking tools and Excel-based models.
• Proficiency in value stream mapping and its application in optimizing CMO operations.
• Experience in tracking and monitoring KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and performance evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of CMO contracts and agreements, with the ability to manage relationships and ensure compliance.
• Proven experience in implementing new processes and models, along with facilitating knowledge transfer and training.
• Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities associated with working with CMOs in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to provide examples of previous work involving CMO maturity enhancement and capability building.
