The Senior Director/ Director Strategic Programmes will be responsible for managing large scale technology projects on behalf of IPH operations to deliver transformational change across the business. This will include working with IT to ensure business needs are appropriately considered, relevant stakeholders are engaged, user adoption and associated process changes occur, and efficiencies and ROI associated with the projects are recognised. Within this role you will also take on building and growing a new team.

Key duties include:
  • Ensure the UI/UX design of new technologies enables rapid and easy user adoption
  • Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values, which centers on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
  • As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Travel (approximately 30%) domestic and/or international
  • Contribute to and drive business transformation through the establishment, management and delivery of key technology and platform projects
  • Establish project goals, budgets, KPIs and Success Measures
  • Manage the resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met
  • Keeps Global VP, business sponsors, business-unit leadership and all stake-holders regularly informed of project/program progress, risks and issues through periodic reporting
  • Line-manage and ensure collaboration within a team in the planning, execution and governance of projects/portfolios
  • Manage development; provide direction and support, and mentor team members as needed
  • Provide technical support and guidance (including scope definition, risk identification and mitigation, resource planning, goals and deliverables) to assigned staff
  • Ensure all necessary training is provided to assigned staff to improve their job performance and knowledge
  • In conjunction with colleagues and senior management, responsible for setting agenda and developing training philosophy for ICON Strategic Programmes Group, including successful execution throughout the team
  • Ensure team alignment with cross-functional leadership goals and company initiatives
  • Contribute to the ICON Business Operations model built on strong teamwork, frequent and transparent inter and intra divisional communication, continuous process improvement, metrics management and global team harmonization
  • Contribute to and actively participate in client meetings and bid defenses as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
