Job Details

On behalf of my client, we have a new vacancy for a Sales Manger for their Point of Care Ultrasound Team.  This is a full-time permanent position covering all territories in Ireland.

The successful candidate will lead, develop, and grow the Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) business. You will manage and build a high-performing Sales Team to achieve revenue targets across the Butterfly Network product portfolio. Your role will be to drive the business, deliver sales growth, build relationships with all business partners, and identify and develop new profitable opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:                             

  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the Principals, ensuring that our strategies and customer engagements are aligned. 
  • Assume the role of primary point of contact with Butterfly Network. 
  • Ensure compliance with all partner agreements and regulations
  • Investigate new business opportunities, which will create value, target customers and create demand for products
  • Proactively keep up to date with developments in the industry and optimise new market opportunities
  • Show ownership and accountability in the execution of strategy for the team
  • Guide the Sales Team to deliver agreed revenue/ GP and profitability targets
  • Understand the market dynamics and competition
  • Develop and deliver profitable and sustainable marketing plans, appropriately using customer professional education
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to optimise information flows between teams to enhance customer service levels, including inventory management and service levels
  • Facilitate and maintain a high-performance sales culture, to ensure the achievement of business goals
  • Carry out performance reviews for the team, including annual appraisal and regular interim reviews. Establish KPI’s and set SMART objectives for the team in order to execute the agreed plan and strategy
  • Develop the team’s commercial awareness by coaching, motivating, involving and inspiring others.
  • Ensure compliance with all HCC regulations 

Skills and Education:                                      

  • 5 Years+ experience in sales management, ideally in medical device sales. 
  • Proven experience managing and developing a high-performance sales team. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A relevant professional certification in Clinical Measurement / Ultrasonography or POCUS sales experience an advantage.   
  • Knowledge and understanding of the HSE and Irish healthcare system in relation to sales and procurement desirable.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with all stakeholders within and outside the organisation. 
  • Distributor / Manufacturer relationship management experience. 
  • Experience of growing market share by focusing on business solutions selling. 
  • Demonstrable ability to manage to P&L level. 
  • Ability to forecast and set business targets, goals and objectives. 
  • Ability to seek out attractive business opportunities and turn to commercial success. 
  • Product launch, territory planning and forecasting experience. 
  • Proven track record in coaching and giving feedback. 
  • Experience of reporting and presenting at senior level. 
  • Self-motivated & ambitious with a strong customer focus.
  • Understanding and experience of Health Care Compliance, Public Procurement Practice, and ISO. 
  • Knowledge in cloud based and app- based applications desirable.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office. 
  • A clean, full driving license.
