The Role:

Our site in Alconbury near Huntingdon is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis.

The role of the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all maintenance and repairs on-site, working alongside a team of 9 to ensure our day-day operations continue to run smoothly.

While core hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, there will be an on-call rota where you will be available 1 in every 5-6 weeks to attend any emergencies out of hours.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Assist engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant.
  • Site waste collection.
  • Sewer plant maintenance.
  • Collection and decant site waste chemical.
  • Building fabric repairs.
  • Escorting contractors.
  • Daily plant checks, including steam boilers.
  • Operation of MEWP.

Education:
  • BTEC, City & Guilds or Apprenticeship required in Maintenance, Electrical or similar field


Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Must live within 45 minutes of Alconbury due to on- call requirement
