OUR COMPANY

At Boehringer Ingelheim we develop breakthrough therapies and innovative healthcare solutions in areas of unmet medical need for both humans and animals. As a family owned company, we focus on long-term performance. We believe that, if we have talented and ambitious people who are passionate about innovation, there is no limit to what we can achieve; after all, we started with just 28 people. Now, we are powered by 50,000 employees globally who nurture a diverse, collaborative and inclusive culture.

THE POSITION

Also in the pharmaceutical industry, digitization and automation are increasingly leading to constant changes in information systems and processes.

In this highly regulated environment, changes like the introduction of new laboratory information systems necessarily imply the GMP-compliant decommissioning of existing computer systems.
As LIMS Business Administrator you will support the operation, administration, and support of the complex laboratory computer systems in compliance with regulations.
The primary focus of the advertised project position is on the GMP-compliant decommissioning of existing computer systems and the associated archiving/long-term storage of data.

This position is limited until 31.12.2024.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Together with the project team, you will work on concepts and strategies for the decommissioning of the interconnected computer systems (including the associated archiving / long-term storage of data).
  • Due to your qualifications and expertise, you will be able to quickly understand the architecture / system design of the computer systems and assess data structures / data types regarding the requirements for archiving / long-term data storage.
  • You will independently create various GMP documents (e.g. SLC documents such as Risk Assessments, SOPs).
  • In your way of working, you will always consider risk-based approaches - you will be able to prepare these, as well as the underlying facts, for audits and inspections independently.

Requirements
