We offer a Program Lead position in global Clinical Trial Supply Unit at Boehringer Ingelheim to lead all IMP related activities at the interface between Development and Medicine/Clinical Operations. This includes close interaction with trial specific Trial Managers to ensure oversight and guidance for the clinical program along portfolio priorities, goals and timelines.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Within the CTSM (Clinical Trial Supply Management) in CTSU (Clinical Trial Supply Unit) you take over the responsibility for global Supply Chain activities for Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) of national and international Phase I-IV clinical trials NCE projects.
  • In this role you act as the main point of contact to research and development departments for assigned projects, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient provision of clinical supplies in these projects.
  • Within CTSU, you closely interact with study specific Trial Managers to oversee the clinical activities on a program level.
  • You represent CTSU as primary contact and operate as sub team member for different projects within Boehringer Ingelheim. Furthermore, you are an active member in international development project teams.
  • Through your expertise you provide input to clinical trial protocols and bulk demands incl. comparator and non-IMP commercial products.
  • Moreover, you are responsible for cost estimations and innovation.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in natural sciences or similar disciplines or completed vocational training with longstanding working experience
  • Few years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, ideally in clinical trials or development projects
  • Experience in working in an international environment as well as project management experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and GMP/GCP requirements for IMPs
  • Ability to interpret complex project requirements, strong problem-solving capabilities with the willingness to make decisions and the ability to drive results
  • Very good communication, negotiation and presentation skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, additional knowledge of German is a plus
