Currently, we are working with a client in Zurich who has opened a state of the art research facility for innovative molecular therapies last year. In the current build up phase, we are looking for someone to focus on lab management aspects including waste management, technical support for scientists, order management and at the same time to act as a back-up for the Team Assistant during holidays/sickness/when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory related - 40% workload
- Ensure lab hygiene and safety standards up to BSL2
- Processing waste streams - mainly autoclaving and ensuring clean glassware is available
- Ordering/receiving of lab consumables, chemicals and other substances
- Support scientific staff from a technical side (simple buffer preparations, experiment support, cell culture maintenance if qualified to do so)
Non Laboratory related 20% workload
- General document filing and general administrative duties
- Reception (mainly receiving shipments) - work station would be at the currently empty reception desk which is close to the labs
- Ordering office supplies
- Back up for the Team Assistant when needed
REQUIREMENTS
_ Experience as a lab manager or lab technican (with flair for organisation and administrative tasks)
_ Fluency in German and English is an absolute must
_ Ideally with start-up experience
_ Ideally with experience in mammalian cell culture and/or sterile work in BSL2
