Statistician

SMERUD is looking for a highly motivated statistician with experience from medical statistics, ideally from planning and analysing clinical trials in the biotech/pharma sector, to join our biometrics division with other statisticians and clinical data managers. Our portfolio of cross-functional projects (randomised clinical trials and entire clinical drug development programs) is growing, and you will work as a senior professional in one or more such teams.

Responsibilities

• Statistical planning of clinical trials, incl. i.a. experimental design, sample size estimations, input to Case Report Form design.
• Statistical analyses of clinical trials, incl. i.a. statistical modelling, development of statistical analysis plans, interpretation of data, compiling statistical reports of clinical trials, input and review of publications.
• Consulting/expert advice to clinical research scientists (project managers) within SMERUD, and high-level project/programme directors and managers within client organisations.
• Consulting/training in medical statistics for academic/investigator groups.

Qualifications

• Academic degree (at least MSc, ideally PhD) in Statistics or Mathematics (containing a substantial statistical component).
• Practical experience in medical/biostatistics
• Familiarity with statistical software like SAS and/or R, SPSS, Stata, Minitab.
• Programming experience.
• Strong fluency in English, oral and written.
