The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M365 Senior IT Administrator to manage, maintain and provide technical support to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of ICON’s M365 environment. You will also collaborate with other IT Teams that are responsible for ICON’s Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, network infrastructure, hardware, and software components. The successful candidate will be a key member of a team of globally dispersed technical professionals responsible for the configuration, deployment, and support of our M365 environment.

The M365 Senior IT Administrator must be customer-focused and service-oriented providing the highest quality service that ensures the effective operation and continuous improvement of ICON’s M365 systems to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

This position is required to be part of the 24*7*365 Team On-Call rotation

Job functions and responsibilites

  • Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centres around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
  • Manage and administer the Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other M365 applications.
  • Manage and maintain M365 security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and maintain M365 backups and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of M365 systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • This position is required to be part of the 24*7*365 Team On-Call rotation.
  • Perform analysis of IT processes to identify deficiencies impacting IT efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with other IT Teams that manage ICON’s Active Directory (AD), Azure AD and identity management services among others
  • Collaborate with other IT Teams that manage ICON’s network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other IT Teams that manage ICON’s hardware and software components
  • Provide technical support for end-users, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365 services.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to M365 services, policies, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Delivers high quality standards and strives for excellence; acts in a proactive, flexible and responsive manner to customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of IT projects related to M365 services.
  • Keep up to date with new M365 features and capabilities and assess their potential impact on the organization.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing and administering M365 environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of M365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other M365 applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, and other identity management services.
  • Experience with M365 security and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with M365 backups and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, hardware, and software components.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on a globally dispersed team in a 24*7*365 environment
  • Ability to report into a manager located in another country and time zone
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
