Job Details

Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines which are vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and “first in human” trials are the first step in testing these novel treatments in humans. Our facility features state-of-the-art monitoring technologies and offers our trial participants a safe and comfortable environment for medical care.

As an Associate Manager in Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for management, support and oversight of the Clinical Research Nurses and Research Assistants team, as well as start-up, clinical execution, and close-out of assigned clinical trials in the Early Phase Unit in Harrow.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Undertake the full range of duties relevant to the leadership, management, support and development of the Clinical Operations team to ensure their performance meets and or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals/objectives.
  • Maintains a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner.
  • Participate in formal staff review processes e.g. performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescales.
  • Accountable for the planning and preparation of clinical trials, including but not limited to: risk mitigation planning, study setup, clinical conduct oversight and coordination of post-clinical activities
  • Ensure all studies are setup and conducted as per Protocol requirements, GCP and local SOPs, while ensuring adherence across the clinical team
  • Assist in the review and collection of relevant operational metrics and implementation of subsequent initiatives to improve performance
  • Provide support with tasks and initiatives as set forth by the Director, Clinical Operations and Senior Management

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Must be a qualified nurse
  • Must have operational experience in a clinical pharmacology environment, working directly in the conduct of clinical trials
  • Previous experience in other areas of study conduct would be beneficial.
  • Experience of cost control and financial management, advantageous.


Education:
  • A Nursing qualification

The working hours options are as follows: either 07:30-15:30 or 08:00-16:00 (Monday to Friday)
