About this job:

 

As Senior Manager for Commercial Insights & Strategy you will lead French Commercial Insights activities for assigned products and provide forward looking insights to advance understanding of the relevant markets, competitors and customers with the aim of delivering major competitive advantage for Astellas’ products.

 

In this position you will use your communication skills to build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders, mainly Marketing department amongst others, as well as your analytical skills to monitor, translate and integrate multiple data sources into actionable insights to drive decision-making.

 

As Senior Manager for Commercial Insights & Strategy you will:

 

  • Be responsible for delivery and execution of insights plans that are aligned with global counterparts and address Affiliate specific strategic objectives, tactical requirements, and decision-making needs.  Includes annual business planning activities and additional strategic exercises. Serve as the primary strategic partner and point of accountability to Affiliate commercial leadership, providing thought leadership and insight to drive business decisions and outcomes. Synthesize marketing intelligence learnings to provide thought leadership and insight to inform business decisions and outcomes. Develop deep understanding of the market landscape which includes market potential, market trends, unmet medical and patient needs, market access challenges and competitors’ trend for each of the assigned products. Coordinate across Commercial Division Insights & Strategy teams, Data Strategy, Advanced, Analytics & Reporting and Commercial Forecasting functions to ensure integrated and consistent communication of insights and implications, tied back to brand strategies and objectives.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

 

  • Extensive experience, primarily in the pharmaceutical/health care industry with broad experience in strategy development, market research, business analytics, strategic forecasting or related fields. Experience in identifying, evaluating, and translating primary and secondary data sources and analysis to provide unbiased, objective, in-depth understanding of the market, product performance, customers, and competitors and support franchise/product strategy. Experience in project management: managing multiple projects simultaneously, management of complex projects. Understanding of the broad functions of a global pharmaceutical organization. Deep understanding of business strategy, products, customers and the industry.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications:

 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills. Deep understanding of how to interpret data (market, financial etc.) and how to leverage any insights generated, integrating multiple data sources to build a strategic view of the major market. Strong interpersonal, collaboration and partnering skills with demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team-based, global environment. Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD) .

Education/Qualifications:

 

  • Undergraduate or degree in math or science. Proficiency in English and French languages.
