THE POSITION


Global Real Estate & Facility Management (GREFM) is a global organization with more than 550 employees within the Enabling Function and working in close collaboration with external Facility Management suppliers.

We design cost-efficient, reliable and high-quality real estate and facility management solutions by utilizing synergies and sourcing effects.

In order to guide Global Real Estate & Facility Management on this journey, the Stretigic Facility Manager is responsible to support, develop, implement and ensure execution of the global facility management outsourcing model as well as to implement global governance.


Tasks & responsibilities


  • One of your key tasks will be to support in developing a supplier roadmap based on strong knowledge in market analysis for 3rd party service provider landscape and supplier review.
  • In addition, you will support outsourcing roadmap segmented in outsourcing models (bundled services, Integrated facility management /IFM, vested outsourcing FM model).
  • Moreover, you will develop specific elements of Facility Management’s functional requirements for the procurement process (global, regional and local) and assist in FM outsourcing processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and steer regional transition processes.
  • You will ensure developing and maintaining strong relationships and excellent communication channels to different suppliers and regional facility management functions.
  • In this context, you will also be responsible for communication to interfaces for tactical decisions and topics (contract renewal/termination/new offer/cancelation).
  • You will support in the creation of business guidelines for suppliers and ensure all supplier-related activities adhere to Boehringer Ingelheim’s corporate guidelines.
  • Also, you will assist in management of supplier-related risks including lump/cluster risks.
  • Furthermore, the discovery and utilization of internal and external research, benchmarks and trends to facilitate discussions with business partners on the future roadmap and identification of best-in-class service providers will also be part of your new role.



Requirements


  • Master’s degree in facility management
  • Practical experience with global facility management models such as IFM, vested models and supplier framework agreements, steering/tracking and performance reviews on global level within corporate settings
  • Knowledge in Customer-Supplier Relationship Management and of terminology and best practices in managing external suppliers
  • Experience within Performance Measurement, Continuous Improvement Management (including effectiveness estimation)
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills with strategic and long-term thinking and ability to prioritize
  • Passionate team player. Also, in virtual environment and teams, preferably within a matrix organization
  • Excellent transparent and effective communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills are mandatory, German language skills are desired
