Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Inventory/Equipment Coordinator to join our Operational Support team based at our Safety Assessment site in Tranent.
Operational Support is a complex and multi-faceted department which requires a large amount of specialised and sensitive equipment in order to function. We are looking for an individual to support the equipment management function within the department.

The responsibilities related to this position are as follows:
•Assist in manage the logistics, maintenance (working with external contractors), distribution and calibration of a wide variety of equipment and instruments.
•Work with senior management and other departments to identify new equipment or solutions.
•Provide administrative support and maintain up to date documentation relating to the equipment under their care.
•Ensure daily consumables for all sub-departments are fully stocked and available for use at all times.

The minimum requirements for this position are:

•Candidates should ideally have a minimum of standard grades or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science.
•Previous experience of working within a regulated environment (GLP/GMP) would be a distinct advantage
•Previous experience using electronic systems and databases.

Candidates should be organised, proactive, customer focused and have the ability to problem solve and adapt. Suitable candidates should have some experience and possess the following skills:

•Excellent communication skills.
•Have an organised and logical approach/mind-set.

Operational Support is a dynamic department where we are looking for successful candidates to bring help us provide a first class support service to Charles River Edinburgh.

Starting salary for this role is £22,563.88 per annum.

  Here in Scotland, based at our site in Tranent, East Lothian, we offer a complete array of Safety Assessment services from complete IND-enabling programs to stand-alone preclinical studies, our preclinical CRO services provide a full range of in vivo and in vitro testing evaluations and regulatory support for the safety assessment of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and animal health products as well as chemicalsagrochemicals, and biocides. Our scientific and regulatory staff develop and execute individual preclinical studies or customized programs to ensure that drug efficacy and safety assessments are conducted in the most efficient manner.
