Combine your strategic experience with your science background to help set the stage for the next generation of therapies being developed by Discovery Research to make a difference in patients’ lives.

You work closely with our gCBDS management team to develop strategies leading to new breakthrough therapies in a strong science organization. Our projects cover interfaces between science and business, with different departments across multiple therapeutic areas and treatment modalities as well as enabling functions.

Tasks & responsibilities


  • In your new role, you will work in close partnership with the Global Computational Biology and Digital Science (gCBDS) management to define and prioritize business strategies, while also preparing communications related to portfolio, initiatives, performance outcomes etc.
  • In doing so, you will strive for operational excellence while innovating and empowering the organization.
  • You will provide department heads with recommendations, guidance, and frameworks to improve teamwork and align initiatives with strategies.
  • In addition, you will plan and coordinate meetings that capture the attention of target audiences. That includes preparing engaging presentation materials balancing high-level messaging with scientific details, as well as following up on defined actions.
  • You will proactively gather information from internal and external sources and share it (where necessary) in accordance with our strategic communications plan.



Requirements


  • Master’s degree in computational biology, data science, mathematics or similar with extensive expertise in consulting- or project management roles with a focus on the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; Ph.D. is desirable
  • Ability to understand computational and digital disciplines. paired with the capability to communicate complex concepts to sophisticated audiences of diverse areas of expertise
  • Ability to define, refine and implement processes (operational excellence) across international teams
  • Experience working with communications specialists, website firms and graphic designers is considered a plus
  • Ability to work in a complex, international, and multidisciplinary environment with the willingness to travel occasionally (EU, USA, Asia)
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and maintaining relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and superior presentation skills in English, a good command of German is desirable but not essential
