THE POSITION

As newest member of CBD Finance & Group Functions Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE) bundles EHS, Security, Real Estate & Facility Management and Engineering globally, striving to serve BI’s site network as strong infrastructure and business partner.

Global CAPEX Management is accountable for all big CAPEX projects worldwide.

As member of the Global CAPEX Management Team, the Sr Manager Front-End-Engineering-Design (FEED) provides guidance and support to projects in the BI network.

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach (Discover our site Biberach: xplorebiberach.com ).


Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role, you will report to the Head of Global CAPEX Management and will support both, the project teams as well as the Global GFE Team to drive business performance.
  
• You will provide strategic leadership with business planning and concept design studies to enable strategic decisions for expansions and manufacturing network efficiency improvements.
  
• With your expertise in project management, you will drive innovation by identifying and incorporating new technical solutions and technologies in the project designs
  
• You will also develop early cost estimates for individual projects using internal and external benchmarks as well as historic data.
  
• Moreover, you will partners with design firms to ensure proper support in delivering the project designs.
  
• You will define and develop needed processes and tools in close collaboration with the Project Excellence teams.
  
• Furthermore, you will support the development of the BI organization in respect to developing business planning and concept design studies.
  

Requirements

• Degree in engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or comparable (mechanical / process / chemical or equivalent)
  
• Profound general engineering experience thereof multiple years’ experience in investment projects in an international environment
  
• In-depth technical experience in a GxP regulated environment with knowledge of chemical and/or pharmaceutical engineering operations
  
• Good understanding of EHS and Quality aspects in the pharmaceutical industry
  
• Strong knowledge of cGMP/GLP regulations, ICH, FDA CMC, ISPE and PDA Guidance Documents is preferred
  
• Strong project management skills with Production and / or production planning experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  
• Well-developed communication skills, able to present to Senior Management
  
• English fluency (written/oral)
