THE POSITION

In your new role, you will drive and ensure the implementation and operation of a global environmental sustainability strategy in our Pharma Operations business. With your expertise, you will be able to influence our sustainability standards worldwide and advancing new technologies in the production environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

• You will develop and implement the global OneEngineering MoreGreen strategy for all Human and Bio Pharma sites with the goal of improving the site´s environmental sustainability footprint by aligning global, regional and local targets.
  
• You will represent the global technology lead for cleantec solutions in a matrix collaboration across BI Businesses and advise the Business Unit Leadership Teams on investment, resources and activities.
  
• In prioritizing and implementing sustainability projects and providing technical solutions, you will support local sites. In addition, you will monitor activities via global and local roadmaps incl. respective KPI´s.
  
• Furthermore, you will align all sustainability activities in the Global Engineering Network with other global Engineering units such as Animal Health and Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE).
  
• With your expertise you will improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance according to internal regulations in collaboration with Corporate EHS and GFE and monitor audit findings concerning EHS gaps and support local sites to close the gaps.
  

Requirements

• Masters degree (e.g. MSc, M.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Management or similar
  
• Long term experience in Environmental Sustainability, preferably in an international environment as well as experience in sustainable technologies and how to implement these in an operational environment related to environmental and economic aspects
  
• Significant experience in areas such as People Management, Project Management, Energy Management, Environmental Technologies and Chemical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Production processes incl. Quality requirements on production environment
  
• Proven track record of successful design and implementation of technical senior expert networks and extensive change management experience incl. stakeholder communication
  
• Fluent communication skills in English, German desirable
