Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity as the Associate Director of Pharmacology for an innovative clinical stage biotech based in Oxford. This is a fantastic role for someone looking for in interesting and challenging role focussed on translational modelling, population PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, disease modelling and simulations across clinical development phases.

 

Responsibilities

  • To lead (on a project level) relevant pharmacometrics analysis such as non-compartmental PK, PK/PD, population PK and PK/PD, exposure-response, modelling and simulation methods, meta-analyses, disease and systems biology modelling
  • Implement innovative analytical methods in pharmacometrics and modelling and simulation in order to integrate knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, patient characteristics and disease states in support of optimal dosing designs
  • Lead non-compartmental PK analyses, build NONMEM datasets, generate report tables, figures, and listings from NCA or popPK analyses for regulatory submissions, and maintain regulatory documentation
  • Provide pharmacometrics contributions to regulatory documents including Clinical Study Reports, Investigator Brochures and those required for regulatory submissions and follow-up responses
  • Identify and implement all necessary hardware and software systems, together with relevant quality processes, for the conduct of in-house pharmacometrics activities
  • Provide modelling and simulation support to Research and TransMed teams for the investigation of exposure-driven functional studies to elucidate mechanism of action and platform development
  • Advise pre-clinical teams on animal model PK/PD, receptor occupancy and translate insights to predict doses for clinical investigation
  • Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacology consultants and academics

 

Requirements

  • Prior experience in pharmacometrics and advanced modelling and simulation
  • Significant expertise within the field of M&S, including PK, PKPD and statistics.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and exposure-response analysis
  • Translational and clinical development experience with an emphasis on pharmacometrics
  • Ability to identify, develop execute strategic modelling and simulation strategies at the project level.
  • Training and experience with PK and statistical software
