Head of Process Development

Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Head of Process Development to join a brilliant biotech establishment on a permanent basis located in Reading. Our client is focused on providing aid to their partners to their contract development and manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will arrange tech-transfer and overall discussions between UK and both internal and external clients.
• Offer scientific, regulatory and technical assistance throughout the tech transfer phase and throughout the execution of procedures and analytical strategies.
• You will execute and supervise UK internal project plans and actively discuss ay aberrations.
• The ideal candidate will converse with the process development and analytical development establishment to assure a smooth and efficient exchange of project linked technical information.
• Guarantee that the supply of raw resources and consumables meet present project conditions.
• Any other assigned duties.

• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level in a biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, or similar field with at least 8 years of experience in a pertinent industrial biopharmaceutical process development and/or manufacturing role.
• Familiarity in guiding and directing biopharmaceutical process development teams, as well as assuming responsibility and making risk-based decisions.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Exhibited ability with upstream- and downstream procedures and analytical development acquaintance with recombinant proteins developed from CHO cell culture systems.
• Previous involvement in the development of viral vector procedures would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with handling projects within a matrixed setting.
• Acquaintance in handling tech transfers between global sites would be advantageous.
• Willing to travel for business needs up to 20-30% of the time.
